I come from an ordinary family with 3 beloved siblings. I had to learn to be more independent and responsible in everything that I do as I am the eldest in the family. When I graduated from Ngee Ann Polytechnic with Diploma in Business Studies (Service Management) in Year 2005, I decided to come out to working society and share my father's burden. Being a 'greenhorn' in the working industry, I took up the first job offer that came to me. It was a statutory board company, doing Human Resource and Organizational Development. After working for a year with daily routine style, I couldn’t find any challenge in my current job and I felt that my talent are not utilised at all. The shocking thing was that I realised that I need to work for 10 years to earn my first $3k (without advancing in my education) in the company!
One day, my best friend, Janet (ex- Peter Tan Organization (PTO®) was telling me about her career prospect in Peter Tan Organization (PTO®). I found it inspiring and interesting, so I told her I was keen to know more! That is where I knew this amazing lady. Her name is Ern Ern from Peter Tan Organization (PTO®). She told me the possible opportunities that will open for me, I begin to paint a beautiful picture of my future dreams and goals in my mind and because of the picture, I decided to make my life a more fulfilling one and make my dream come true! I joined Peter Tan Organisation – the number one agency in the insurance company on the 16 October 2007.
The culture in Peter Tan Organisation is strong, and will never be forgotten by each of us in the family – Love, Trust and Respect. The Chairman of Peter Tan Organization (PTO®), Mr. Peter Tan, is really an remarkable man who inspired me for this career. He emphasize very much on the culture because he wants us to be reminded that we must not forget our roots when we are successful. We must appreciate our parents for bringing us into this world and the people who had lend their helping hands to me in our life. The most valuable lesson learnt is to ‘Gan En’ – Appreciate.
An incident which I clearly remembered was on 10 May 2009 (Mother’s Day), I received Peter Tan sms on to remind us to surprise our mother and give them a good treat! At that moment, I thought that this was heart-warming because being the Chairman of Peter Tan Organization (PTO®), he doesn’t have to sms everyone of us, but he did! This shows how serious Mr. Peter Tan is, to reinforce the culture of the organization. This really makes me feel attached to the organization.
Peter Tan Organization (PTO®) is also one of the organizations that give us (financial consultants) a lot of areas to explore on and also a bunch of fun-loving and caring colleagues to be there to go through the ups and downs with me! Here are some pictures that we took from road shows, to the company event/dinners and the incentive trips that we qualify together!

I am really thankful and blessed that I have entered into the right organization, allowing me to excel my potentials and achieving me the dreams I want in my life. Today I am seeing results; I have achieved the Top 5 Rookies Award in Peter Tan Organization (PTO®) for Year 2008 and many more to comes.
